Decided that perhaps easier to put photos in to years rather specific events - so you (and I !) can quickly find what's new !
Well, it seems to make sense to me at the moment - but watch this space !
Anyway here are some of my shots so far this year - as usual they are a mix of this from various places.
This is Sheep Wash Bridge at Ashford-in-the-Water. This long exposure panoramic shot in B&W really captures of mood of this lovely Peak District village and its famour bridge.
Mountains of Fire ! - Lanzarote. I have always struggled to truly capture the awesome landscapes of the south western areas of this island. This panoramic looks west towards the eruptive heart of the volcanos that devastated the south of the island in the 17th century. In the foreground is the ingenious grape (for wine) growing technique which is now the dominant crop in this area of the island.
Another panoramic shot from Lanzarote (one of my favourite places). This is at the north of the island looking from the massive cliffs over La Graciosa island. The stunningly clear water and contrasting the island's bleached sands is so alluring.
The last of these panoramas from Lanzarote - this one looking south from a favourite restaurant (for lunch) - Bodegas Rubicon - that has this amazing view to enjoy alongside some seriously good food and wine.
Taken at Chester Zoo - don't know what variety of lizard this is but I was drawn by the textures of his (or her) skin, eye and array of horns on its back !
Tamar Bridges at Blue Hour - Brunel rail bridge and the road bridges side by side are awesome and rival those of the Forth raod and rail bridges in Scotland. For the sharp eyed, the streak of light on the rail bridge is in fact a train (bound for Penzance in Cornwall) crossing while I took this 30 second long exposure shot.
