Hi - this is me - self portraits are so hard to do!

I’ve had a camera in may hands for nearly as long as I can remember, from a Kodak Instamatic through a Pentax K1000 to the digital era.

Now using a more sophisticated full frame Sony I’ve moved in to a new phase of my photography to challenge myself to produce higher quality and more diverse images.

I’m mostly a self taught photographer in the technical sense but You Tube is such a wonderful tool to learn different and new techniques and genres of image making.  That said, for all the technology, technique and equipment there is no substitute for having the eye for the shot.

I live in Plymouth in the UK, but have been lucky enough to travel the world extensively with the Royal Navy and my family.  This has enabled me to gather a significant back catalogue and I will be sharing some of the best in the months to come, but what is here now is largely my most recent work.  

You will see that I don’t necessarily have a style or genre, but my portfolio is an eclectic mix of everything including: landscapes, people, close up, animals, flowers, architecture, food, bridges, seascapes, nightscapes, and much more!
